We’re thrilled to announce that our healthcare workers who enjoy their breaks in McMullen Gallery and the Mazankowski’s Healing Gardens will be able to enjoy some activities with our Artist on the Wards.
On Mondays from 10:30-11:30am, join our visual staff artist Kasie for a knitting session. Bring your knitting needles and yarn, or learn about finger-knitting from Kasie.
On Tuesdays from 11:30am-12:30pm, string words together with our literary staff artist Shirley with magnetic words. Shirley will help guide poetry newbies into a new realm of creativity.
Also on Tuesdays from 1-3pm, watch our visual staff artist Jennie in her element as she works on artwork in the Healing Garden. Some of the pieces are ones she’s started or ones that are in-progress. You may get a special painting kit from her!
Finally on Wednesdays from 11am-12pm, take in the sounds from our music staff artist Bev. Bev will be performing her harp in the Healing Gardens via Zoom. If you would prefer to catch her performance on your phone or tablet in another area of the hospital (or from home), be sure to click the Zoom link below. Bev’s event is free and open to the public via Zoom!
