About the Grant

The Nancy Lieberman Special Purpose Fund was established by The Friends of University Hospitals to support the purchase of equipment, supplies and educational materials to enhance patient care and comfort at the University Hospitals. The fund is supported with proceeds from the Friends Gift Shop, atrium vendors and donations.

The fund was renamed to the Nancy Lieberman Memorial Fund in 2019.

About Nancy Lieberman

Nancy Lieberman served as a volunteer at the hospital for over 30 years. During the seventies she was a member of the Board of Directors of the Hospital and sat as a member of the Building Committee for the Walter C. McKenzie Building. Following this she took a leadership role with the Board of Directors of the Friends of University Hospitals serving as both Chairperson and Treasurer. In addition to her time with the Friends, Nancy volunteered with the Hospital Foundation, was on the founding committee of McMullen Gallery, and helped out on the committee named in her honour. Nancy passed away in 2019.
